La final am consumat urmatoarele, in traducere aproximativa :):

1. Terrine cu ficat de gasca, cu sos de pere si briosa de casa;

2. Supa de carne de vanat cu sherry, taietei din clatite si galuste cu fistic;

5. DesertPlatoul Pfistermuhle cu deserturi asortate (creme brulee, inghetate de casa asortate, serbet de ghimbir);

6. Creme Brulee cu smochine proaspete

7. Doua pahare de vin rosu

One marathon day through the shops of Munich ended with a wonderful dinner at the famous Pfistermühle restaurant. Our luck was that we got there at about half past 4 in the afternoon, without any reservation made before and to our joy we got a free table. After 6 o’clock, when we finished our visit, all tourists that came without reservation were politely refused.

The restaurant is placed in the old centre of Munich, based on a traditional Bavarian architecture-atmosphere-menu. The waiters know English, the lady at the bar wore a very beautiful traditional dress, the tables and the whole place was very nicely arranged, the bathroom was extremely clean and nice (smelled like violets). From what I noticed the restaurant was a more fancy one because most of the people eating there were nicely dressed and perhaps celebrated something with their families.

Anyway, we got on the the house some creamed cheese with fresh bread until we decided on what we wanted from their menu. In the end we chose the following:

1. Terrine of goose liver with pear chutney and home-made brioche;

2. Bouillon of venison with sherry, pistachio dumplings and pancake stripes.

3. Bavarian ox fillet from the grill, under a black pudding crust on shallot-sauce, with braised vegetables and potato gratin;

4. Fried duck breast on orange-ginger-sauce with broccoli, served with mashed pumpkin and potatoes;

5. DesertPfistermuhle platter, comprising a selection of various desserts;

6. Creme brulee with fresh figs;

7. Two red wine glasses;

8. One cappuccino + 3 chocolate bits.

Everything was delicious, maybe the duck was a bit too salty, but combined with the pumpkin and potato mash the salty taste was not so strong. It was a very nice evening in the family with good, special food, aromas and unique combinations, a very good wine, fine and tasty deserts, an elegant atmosphere, welcoming and charming. The total for 2 adults and a child was around150Euro. What I liked a lot about them and noticed was the special menu. It was not overloaded, 2-3 soups, 2-3 appetizers, 2-3 entrée… but if you look closely you cannot miss noticing the unique and special combinations of aromas. It is exactly how I like it, simple, elegant, refined combinations. I think I said it before as well, I like specific restaurants, whatever it might be, but the services should be done with elegance, style and skill. If we ever get to Munich again we would surely make another visit to the people at Pfistermühle. You should do it too if you get there, absolutely! From us (myself and the family) the Pfistermühle restaurant in Munich gets 5 lilies.
