Foarte frumos.

English version

If you have a thin hair, fatty hair, no volume and difficult to fix, this post is for you. Using a fitting hair powder, you can give volume to your hair, mattify it and delay washing it by at least one day (if you have to wash your hair every two days, you will be able to delay it to 3 days). The powder that I use is called OSiS, Schwarzkopf and it was recommended to me by my stylist from Romania, Rares. In April when I was in Cluj for Easter, I went to him for a haircut, and while waiting for my turn I noticed that many boys where there at the salon and they took care about the way they look, getting haircuts and styling their hair in many different ways… Very nice.

Anyway, I noticed that the stylists (who where also all boys) in the end, before fixing their client’s hair, sprinkled some kind of powder on the hair and then styled the hair a little, and the final result was something super interesting, something in the likes of “out of bed look” :). The hair was staying as it was set to be and as they wanted, just like in the Schwarzkopf commercial “… and the hairstyle holds…” :).

Normally, I got the same in the end from Rares, he applied this powder on my hair and explained that it is a special powder that absorbs the sebum of the hair, so you can wash your hair less frequently and in addition you get more volume of the hair and helps in styling it. Clearly I bought one for myself, and I use it ever since after each washing and drying of the hair.

I can’t say that I used before other powders of this kind, before and after, and that’s way it is a bit difficult to compare with other products from the same category. I bought yesterday another type of powder to have a better term of comparison, I’ll give soon an opinion about this. Anyway, the OSiS powder seems very good and strong, it really does what they say: mattify the hair, gives it volume, and helps to style it during the whole day. A small amount of powder, about the size of a corn grain, is put in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and then run them through the hair, down to the root and then style it as you wish.

Another way to do it is to sprinkle the powder directly on the hair and gently shake the hair, the powder will go down to the root, and then you can style it. But be careful! The powder is so strong that if you drop too much in the hair you won’t be able to run the comb or your hands through the hair! Do not use the bottle like a salt shaker :). It might be better to add the powder little by little to get the desired effect, otherwise you won’t get rid of the powder unless you wash your hair again…. Eventually you could cover half of the holes with your thumb and sprinkle with half opened, thus avoiding to drop too much powder on your hair. I am sure that after 1-2 tries it would be OK and you can form your own idea about how it works and how to use this product.

What I have noticed is that if I wash my hair, dry it, flat iron it and then apply the powder for styling it a little, my hair is getting static electricity! And quite a lot of it, my hair is standing up and the more I try to settle it with my hands, the more it stands up, it sounds a bit silly… but in the morning while being on the run it is quite annoying :). If I use the comb or the hair brush it gets even worse, my luck is that the hair settles until I get to the office and I don’t look like a lightning rod :). If I do not flat iron my hair, everything is normal :).

Conclusion: The OSiS powder is sort of a 2 in 1 plus a bonus, it acts like a hairspray + volume mousse + gives a prolonged  effect by a day, this as a bonus. Applying the powder is done once on the washed and dried hair, and you won’t need it again until the next wash. The second day the powder is still in the hair, still acting, so you only need to style your hair and you’re done. Easy, practical, economic, useful and cool. The OSiS powder gets 4.5 lilies from me.
