English version

… which, as soon as I spot from a distance, makes me think to French pastry shop, full of aromas, croissants, fruit tarts, cakes, baguettes, different types of breads as I only saw in Paris or Nice (probably because I have not been to other French cities 🙂 ). I am talking now about the Deli de Luca shop and I think that the association with a French pastry shop comes from its sign which I think  looks very nice. But I think also because inside you can find some types of cakes which I did not see anywhere else in Norway, croissants, freshly made baguette sandwiches, muffins, special breads, ice-cream and coffee. Speaking about coffee, I loved the T-shirts of the shop staff which said something like (I do not remember exactly and it was in Norwegian too:) ): “our work along the years lead to the extraordinary taste of our coffee today”. I loved the slogan, but I did not taste the coffee yet… to follow :). From what I saw you can buy the whole coffee beans from different exotic places, much like Starbucks. I’ll try this one too and write something about it here.

Ever since I moved to Bergen, I am missing a confectionery/coffee shop/pastry shop close to the ones I know in Cluj or like I saw in France. A place where to sit a savour a delicious , fresh cake, made on the spot, next to a hot cup of coffee. Starting with 2003, the Norwegian firm Deli de Luca opened several shops around the country. Presently there are 25 shops in Oslo, 1 shop in Stavanger and 3 in Bergen.

Deli de Luca from Bergen, the one we recently visited, sits at the address Torggaten 5 in the city centre. We were on our way from the Zupperia and did not feel particularly hungry, but we still bought 3 cakes to eat at home – a raspberry cheesecake, an oreo biscuit cake and a chocolate, caramel and walnuts cake. The cakes come nicely wrapped, each in its own box and freshly kept. The price for a cake varies between 25-39 kroner, meaning about 3-5 euros (as far as I remember).

I think that after a stroll through town, a place like Deli de Luca is perfect to savour a croissant or a cake next to a coffee. From what I saw, you can also buy different types of food, but I personally did not try yet.

Do not hesitate to discover the chic atmosphere at  Deli de Luca and the goodies they have for sale, I would say unique for Norway. Congrats for the initiative, Deli de Luca gets 5 lilies from me.
